Being the only international designer showing at New Zealand Fashion Week this year, Charlie Brown was a definite draw card on the schedule.
I was pretty excited to see what she would bring across the ditch. Whenever I’m in Sydney, I always make sure I swing by the Oxford Street boutique to see the gorgeous gowns and other elegant pieces on offer. More often than not, I find something I like and something that can be worn season after season – investment pieces. And then there’s the accessories…So by the time I hit Glenmore Rd, I’m broke.
The Rolling Stones/Luna Park-style (however you want to look at it) backdrop looked epic all lit up in the Westpac Shed. Here are a few of the pictures I shot on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
The Naughty & Nice theme is indicative of the Charlie Brown girl – “a glamorous woman with a fierce streak that speaks back to the allure of a femme fatale.”
The show featured three distinct themes: military luxe, Indochine opium den and my favourite of all, the gala finale which featured beautifully crafted gowns in light chiffon.
The oriental umbrellas! So gorgeous. Could have done with one earlier this week.
Less cologne, more Colin…Dressed Mr.Mathura Jeffree top to toe in MisteR. One of his many ensembles of the week.
Hanging in the champagne lounge pre-show. The Auckland skyline looks great from here.
Many of the key shows have served Acqua Panna and San Pelligrino sparkling water. Ideal. And doesn’t this lady have the most gorgeous smile? Always the best thing you can wear.
